Review: The Iron Queen

Yes, I have decided on posting reviews. I am certainly not restricting this blog to only reviews, I will just post a few here and there when I have finished a book. My weekly memes, writing, exc.. will continue!

Review: The Iron Queen (#3 of The Iron Fey series)
Author: Julie Kagawa
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Pages: 368
Rating: 5/5
Summary:

My name is Meghan Chase. I thought it was over. That my time with the fey, the impossible choices I had to make, the sacrifices of those I loved, was behind me. But a storm is approaching, an army of Iron fey that will drag me back, kicking and screaming. Drag me away from the banished prince who's sworn to stand by my side. Drag me into the core of conflict so powerful, I'm not sure anyone can survive it. This time, there will be no turning back.

After reading this book, I was left excited, amazed, and wanting MORE! There was never a point in the book- or the series for that matter- that was dull or boring. If I didn't have any distractions, I could read this book from start to finish without putting it down.

I really noticed a dramatic change in Meghan, Ash, and Puck in the Iron Queen that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Meghan is growing stronger, not just physically but mentally as well. Ash on the other hand seemed softer in this book. His passion and love for Meghan throughout this book was remarkable! It was a huge change from his coldness towards her in the previous book. As for Puck, his relationship with Meghan and Ash turned quite interesting but of course, I won't spoil it...

The plot of this story is too amazing and well thought out for words. Everything fell perfectly into place without being too predictable. There were many twists and turns that will keep a reader interested until the very last page.

The ending of this book was perfect! It wasn't too bad of a Cliff- hanger, but it still left me desperate for the release of the next book. It wrapped up the book nicely, while leaving tons of room for our minds to wonder what Julie has in store for us in The Iron Knight.

I highly recommend this series to everyone. It is the absolute perfect mix of romance, action, suspense, and magic. I will continue to read the 4th book as soon as it hits stores as well as anything else the brilliant mind of Julie Kagawa will publish.
