Waiting on Wednesday (17)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine in which bloggers can spotlight upcoming releases. This week I am waiting on is Darkness Descending by Devyn Quinn. I recently discovered this book and while I'm not a fan of the cover, the summary sounds great!

(Goodreads) Summary:

The first seal has been broken, signaling the end of days. Fallen angels in the form of vampires are infecting humans one by one, creating an army fit for Armageddon. Of the few who survive the infection, one stands alone above all others…

    I'm not crazy about the cover, either, but I love end of the world books! I'll definitely have to keep an eye out for this one.

    I haven't heard about this one before! The cover isn't flash, like you mentioned, so hopefully people can weed out the fact it has a great story without judging the cover first!

    I love books set in New Orleans, too, and that fact has only increased since I visited there. The cover is par for the course with UF these days. I'd say it's lucky the cover model is wearing jeans instead of leather pants.

    Already on my wishlist, great pick! I'm half and half on the cover. I love the blues and the spiderweb she's got going on but there's something off about her face, her knife looks silly and I'm not a fan of the angel statue.
